Audio Production

In our Electronic Media/Broadcasting concentration, we believe hands-on experience is vital. That is why we have a complete audio/video sequence of production courses that teach the latest digital production techniques and provide recording/editing facilities for each student to do multiple audio production projects each semester.

On this page you will find examples of long and short form audio productions that were produced solely by our Audio Production I and Audio Production II students. Many of these productions have won national and regional awards. The examples were each written, produced, recorded, edited, mixed, and mastered by the credited student. The only part of any production not solely done by the producing student was the use of other student voices where more than one voice was needed. In many cases though, various voices were done by the same student using advanced effects and editing techniques.

Commercials and PSAs (Short Form)
Short form productions are usually 30 - 60 seconds in length. They consist of radio commercials and public service announcements. These were produced in the Audio Production II course.

Documentaries and Features (Long Form)
Long form productions are usually 4 - 15 minutes in length. The 10 - 15 minute documentaries are educational pieces which examine an in-depth topic and were produced in the Audio Production II course. The four minute features are human interest stories which were produced in the Audio Production I course.
